Without Jim and his company, Waste Recovery Systems, we would be missing a terrific opportunity to reduce the amount of recyclables in our garbage bins. Before WRS was doing business in our area, we did a poor job of removing recyclable items from our waste stream. We mainly focused on just the cardboard from moving boxes. Now WRS is able to not only get the cardboard but also newspaper, plastic, glass, and a number of other items. In the past we have tried to work with our franchised garbage haulers to better handle the recyclable items, but they just didn't show any interest in helping us improve.
